Date started: Thu 19th November 1998I was born and brought up in Bromley, Kent and was educated at a local girls’ school. I trained at Nottingham University, graduating in 1992. In 1993, I moved down to Exeter to complete my house officer year. I knew the area well, having spent many happy holidays here as a child with my grandmother, who lived in Devon. I did my hospital training in Torbay, and GP training in Ashburton.
Following completion of my training and a period of maternity leave, I was offered a short term, part time job at Pembroke House in 1998. I am still here 10 years later! I became a partner in 2001.
I enjoy being part of the Pembroke House team, working with both patients and staff. I enjoy the variety and ever changing challenges of general practice. My special interests are paediatrics and womens’health.
I am married to a fellow GP and we have 3 children, who keep me busy when I am not at work. I like to keep active and enjoy walking, running and cycling, and as a family we enjoy spending time on the river in our canoes. I also play the piano and recorder.
All partners provide contraception, maternity care and domicillary visiting.
